Once you have completed your preliminary application, please call the admissions office at (617) 542-2325 x312 to schedule your tour and interview. We offer tours and interviews Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am-2:00pm.

How to Apply to Cathedral High School

There is no application fee to apply for Cathedral High School!

The best way to get to know Cathedral High School is by seeing for yourself! Attend our Open House or schedule a tour to meet current Cathedral students, engage with faculty, tour our facilities, and learn what it’s like to be a Panther!

Start your Application through Ravenna

Complete your application to Cathedral High School online. When you click on the link below, you will be redirected to the Ravenna website where you will create a profile and begin your application!

Fulfill Standardized Testing Requirements

Grade 9:  All students applying for grade 9 at a private, Catholic school will take the High School Placement Test (HSPT).

You can take the exam on a date that works best for you!  Please visit the Archdiocese of Boston website for dates and locations. Please contact us with any questions. 

All other grades: For those applying to grades 7, 8, 10, 11, or 12, please submit your most recent standardized test scores through Ravenna. Tests accepted include MCAS, MAP, SSAT, and others. See step 4. 

Submit Required Materials and Recommendations

Through your Ravenna application, you will be able to forward a request to your current school for the last two years of student data, including: 

  • Academic transcripts
  • Attendance
  • Behavior and disciplinary records 
  • Standardized test scores
  • Individualized Education Plan (IEP)/504 Plan (if applicable)

Additionally, you will be prompted to submit two recommendations from teachers or administrators who have worked closely with the student applicant at the school they currently attend.

Apply for Financial Assistance through FACTS

Cathedral High School is committed to making education affordable for your family. 100% of admitted applicants are awarded financial assistance of at least 50%. Learn more about financial assistance and scholarship opportunities here. 

All applicants are required to apply for financial assistance through FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. This is a critically necessary component of your application, and we encourage you to complete this step as early as possible for maximum financial assistance.

There is a $40 fee from FACTS to apply. 

Schedule an Admissions Interview

Once your preliminary application is complete in Ravenna, call the Admissions office to schedule an interview. Your interview helps us to get to know you and gives you another opportunity to learn more about Cathedral! We offer tours and interviews Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
