More about the Academic Experience at Cathedral

Maker Space

Are you interested in Coding? Do you want to explore a career in engineering?

Located within our newly renovated Applied Learning Center, the Cathedral Maker Space is a dedicated area for our scholars to explore computer science, coding, and technology. Outfitted with a 3D printer, microbits, coding software, and more, scholars learn technologies and programs that real-world professionals use while opening their eyes to exciting college majors and careers.

Experiential Learning

100% of Cathedral scholars have opportunities to engage with professionals

Cathedral’s South End location opens doors of opportunity for our scholars to apply their classroom learning to the real world – through excursions to exciting companies, professional guest speakers, internship opportunities, and more.

Financial Literacy

It is more important than ever that young people understand their finances.

Cathedral offers programming to increase financial awareness, including financial literacy seminars and programs beginning in grade 7, a financial literacy course, internships in the finance industry, dual-enrollment college business courses, and more.

Schedule

100% of Cathedral scholars have time in their schedule for extracurriculars

At Cathedral, we prioritize academics while also recognizing the importance of fostering a holistic experience. As a result, Cathedral’s schedule is designed to provide opportunities for faculty and scholars to engage in activities outside of the classroom during the school day. Each Thursday we have “Community Time” which features events such as masses, all-school meetings, and extracurriculars where scholars have a chance to dive into their interests like music club, Latin dance, or yoga.
